Almost no woman don't care about height. And when they say so, they usually mean either:
1. I don't care about height as long as he's taller me.
Which means that to the girls 5'7"-5'10", you're already at a huge disadvantage from the get-go.
2. Or I don't care about height as long as he's normal male height (in other words, at least 5'8"-5'9")
They don't mean it in the sense that they can find a 5'3" male as attractive as a 6' guy.
The problem with your argument is that you're making this too black and white. You're ignoring the good amount of women who don't care if you're short as long as you're taller than them.
I am not going to act as if there isn't a good amount of really short women who would rather be with an average or tall man, but even at my short height, there are a bunch of 4'11s - 5'2s who are okay with me being short.
I don't know who you date or how you date, but these studies you keep posting, while true doesn't speak for everyone. They are generalities.
I've dated a lot and I will admit, while there are women who just don't find me attractive for being short (and they will tell me), there are plenty of short women who have been fine with my say, 5'7 to their 5'1.

This is how dating works. There are women I date who have 10 bodies, but are an 8 in the face. Women with a 10 face, that have a 6 body. Women who are drop dead gorgeous, but can be sassier than I'd like. Women who have a gorgeous skin complexion, with small boobs. Everyone, even the tallest man compromises in some way when they date. If I'm banging them from here to Shanghai, then obviously they aren't turned off.

Again, I don't understand why this matters so much to you. The average woman in the U.S. is 5'4. If what you suggested is what my "dating pool" is (which is bullocks because I've dated, hooked up with and had relationships with women taller than me), 4'11-5'7 is more than 70% of women. That's billions of women. I don't need billions of women. I don't need millions of women. I don't need thousands of women. I've hooked up with over 300 which more than some men get in three lifetimes. Even if I only had access to women between 4'11 and 5'2, that's still a lot of women!
If you don't find women in that 4'11-5'2 range attractive, whose problem is that? Not mine! My dating pool isn't small because I am open to dating women of all heights. It may be in theory smaller than that of a man who is 6'2, but I am never short of dates, so I wouldn't know. I don't care about studies, just what I experience in my daily life.
