I want to see about pricing by you all. Over here it is $15 a pair. That seems high to me but I could be wrong. To be clear, this is for jeans not dress pants or pant suits.

The closest tailor to me charges about $20 a pair but will run specials like 2 for $30.
Same here, about $20. Plus and Big and Tall sizes run about $30.
I have seen it as low as $10 but I think it depends on where you go cause I have also seen it as high as $50 for one pair of jeans.
I know this is older but I found a place in my are that does them for $10 so look around more. I always thought that $20 was the cheapest.
Uniqlo does this for free. They charge only for Blind Stitches, and that's just $5.
It really depends on where you live. In France, it's quite expensive but my father used to do it for really cheap when he was in the US
For the short guy ! they can tailor or buy their pants and shirt
